Job Description
The Bookkeeper performs a variety of routine calculating, publishing, and verifying operations in a high-volume environment in order to obtain main financial data for use in accounting records. Verifies that business data, calculations, and posts are correct. In a highly responsible and confidential accounting function, responsible for collecting revenues from probation charges, restitution, attorney fees, state levies and fines, program payments, and UA fees.

Qualifications:
- Answering the phone and dealing with office equipment are examples of clerical work.
- Examine the cash handling processes to ensure that they are being followed. Noncompliance is tracked, and problems are discussed with the principal as needed.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or management is required for this position.
- Make sure all of your financial records are up to date and accurate.
- Budget suggestions are kept on file until the budget is done.
- For this role, you’ll need three years of bookkeeping experience.
- The applicant should have strong understanding of Clover Point of Sale (POS) and QuickBooks accounting software.
- Make agreements with route employees on a daily basis, which include matching the appropriate tickets.
- Check for money availability, disburse cash, and ask for administrative authorization before evaluating purchase orders vs activity funds.
- Collect any insufficient funds or returned cheques from the bank as soon as possible.
Skills:
- Customer service devotion and negotiation abilities are necessary.
- The principles of accounting and bookkeeping for payables and receivables are very well.
- Skills in time management and organization are important.
- Data entry abilities as well as a mathematical sense are required.
- It’s critical to know how to utilize Microsoft Excel.
