Job Description
The Accounts Payable Manager provides overall direction and guidance to the staff responsible for processing accounts payable and vendor services, which includes maintaining records of amounts owed, verifying invoices, computing discounts, coding expenses, preparing vouchers, and issuing checks, ACH transactions, and international wires for payment. The Accounts Payable Manager generates new accounting forms as required and provides financial reports for different internal departments. Accounts payable register and other associated reports are prepared. Accounts payable and buying operations are guided, coordinated, and trained for personnel.

Qualifications:
- Conduct interviews and give proposals for new workers, provide or arrange training, analyze employee performance, and make staffing recommendations. Supt. Management and Control
- Analyze existing processes and systems and provide recommendations for improvements that will boost efficiency, role division, and internal controls.
- Prior to processing financial information (purchase orders, suppliers, and bills), it should be reviewed for correctness and compliance with the company’s requirements.
- Oversee timely and proper processing of accounts payable across numerous locations (national and regional) utilizing cheque, ACH, credit card, and wire payment methods.
- To deal with procedural and technological issues, you must assign tasks, assess the quality of the work produced, and make judgments on how to proceed moving forward. Work results should be tracked and metric data provided to management.
- Assistance with buying is provided to regional managers, and this assistance includes getting quotations, choosing suppliers, negotiating contracts, creating new vendor accounts, and managing current vendor accounts.
- Maintaining efficient processes and controls over Accounts Payable and procurement procedures while also creating, documenting, putting into action, and checking that internal controls are being built and are operating as they should be.
- Ensure that all activities are performed on schedule and in line with the corporate time limits by managing the month-end accounts payable closing procedures.
