The Budget Manager oversees all internal and external program reporting. This job is the principal financial interface with program personnel and will manage financial information among executive, program, and development employees.

  • Performs budget adjustments by examining accounting records and human costs data to calculate the financial resources necessary to execute program and presenting suggestions for budget allocations. This is done in order to identify how much money is needed to implement program.
  • Program budgeting processes on a daily basis Assist program managers in assigned divisions with the development and implementation of financially viable business strategies to meet customer satisfaction standards.
  • Control and management of the Center’s yearly budget as well as other funded budgets; forecasting of monies required for personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitoring and recommending approval of expenditures on the basis of financial judgment.
  • Prepares and analyzes reports on revenue and spending. Advises supervisory staff on trends in revenue and spending. Prepares periodic reports on revenue and spending to show how estimates compare to actual spending and to add to City budget reports.
  • Programmatic activities and processes are monitored and evaluated; studies, compiles, examines, and analyzes data for special projects; proposes with University policy the necessary service and personnel levels.
  • Develop business cases, projections, buy-or-not choices and rate evaluations with cooperation with the Agency Budget Director and other financial modeling and analyses for assigned projects.
  • OMB Finance addresses all operational and financial matters for the assigned Division, including Agency award processing. Planning and managing state attorney’s budget (SAO).
  • Executes different actions and obligations, some of which may not be indicated in the job description but fall within the broad occupational category and responsibility level connected with the employee’s class of work.
  • Prepare complex financial and budgetary analysis documents like written narratives, charts/graphs, and presentation materials that can be shared with OFM, legislative staff, executive management, and external stakeholders. Make sure that these products are correct, complete, and of good quality.
  • Analyzes expenditures in relation to the services provided in the preceding financial year, delivering reports with budget modification suggestions to Supervisors on a regular basis, as required.


  • Research-based There has to be a thorough examination of the information collected, discoveries made, theories substantiated by evidence, and laws applied. Writing and speaking in a way that is understandable to the target audience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere; self-motivated and able to manage several projects at once; capacity to work and develop others as a team; ability to work and develop others as a team; Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher) and graphics/desktop and Internet applications skills is desirable.
  • a degree of at least a bachelor’s, preferably in finance, business, accounting, or public administration, from an institution of higher education that is regionally or nationally recognized.
  • In addition to the four (4) years of professional management experience necessary, professional management skills in establishing, monitoring, and managing an operational budget and grant preparation/administration is essential.
  • A master’s degree in accounting, business/public management, finance, economics, or quantitative analysis, or a closely related discipline, from an authorized institution or university;
