You’ll lead and direct Accounting. This involves developing, improving, and executing the company’s accounting procedures and operations, establishing and managing an Accounting team, and offering important information and new policies to enhance Forward Financing’s performance. Your involvement in controlling all accounting activities will be vital to moving our purpose forward and helping expand the company.

Qualifications:

  • Oversee the process of filing tax returns and distributing quarterly tax payments, working closely with internal constituents as well as external tax advisors to guarantee proper and timely completion in accordance with regulations set out by local, state, and federal governments.
  • In order to ensure that one is in compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations, it is essential to be up to speed on both the existing and upcoming legislation, as well as to foresee new legislation.
  • Conducts research and analytical investigations, producing reports that include profitability and return on investment assessments, cost analysis, and comparisons of financial and informational data to support findings and recommendations.
  • This department’s goal is to set up revenue recognition and cost accrual accounting systems. These systems must allow for effective asset management.
  • Ensures functioning of equipment by setting preventative maintenance needs and service contracts, managing equipment inventories, and assessing new equipment and procedures.
  • It may be possible for the efforts of the Finance Department, which may include the introduction of new software and systems as well as other departmental or company-wide shifts, to be supported by doing research, planning, and putting those plans into action.
  • Establishes and continues to maintain robust accounting controls that are adequate to assure compliance with the regulations and directives of all regulatory authorities, both internal and external to the organization.
  • The financial analyst reviews the budget and financial reporting. He or she also contributes to the financial planning. Maintain communication between internal management and the organization’s parent corporation.
  • Plans, monitors, and aids the team in recording, classifying, and controlling financial transactions daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Writes back to Property Management’s demands at all levels, including the development of specific reports, financial results and associated systems analysis, and the identification of potential issue areas.

Skills:

  • Experience in accounting or a similar sector for at least five years, with at least one year spent in a managerial capacity. Graduate of an approved four-year college program with a major in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Maintains the job outcomes of the financial staff by coaching, mentoring, and punishing personnel; planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required, and if at all possible, one with a focus in either economics, accounting, or finance is preferred. Candidates that hold either a master’s degree or an additional professional certificate are given significant consideration for the position (such as a CPA or CMA).
  • Minimum 10 years of accounting, audit, and financial experience with corporate taxes knowledge.
  • Self-starter who solves difficulties without continual supervision. Always wants more responsibility and acts on criticism.
