Job Description
According to department regulations, the radiologist conducts diagnostic radiographic, scan, mammography, bone density, ultra sound, or special procedures. Serves as the customer’s initial point of contact and is effective in meeting their imaging requirements. In the absence of the Radiologist, the Radiology crew is supervised. Maintains supplies for the department. Encourages collaboration and excellent customer service. Assists with employee discipline and yearly reviews. Maintains supplies and equipment for allocated sub departments, as well as scheduling for them.

Qualifications:
- Medical and surgical operations are carried out in accordance with aseptic protocols, using suitable infection control measures, etc.
- Capable of basic and complex percutaneous surgeries, such as peripheral interventions. A pacemaker and defibrillator must be operated by someone who can recognize cardiac arrhythmias and react properly. In cardiac emergencies, intervene.
- It’s important to ensure that each and every image is noted so that both the patient and the physician know exactly what was found. Images in radiology are categorized by process.
- Follows the department’s exam procedures, makes changes to the procedures based on the patient’s physical and mental abilities, and bills for all exams done in the right way.
- may aid physicians with interventional therapies by doing organ or body scans on patients. Determines the anatomical and technical features of the patient’s demands before preparing and putting them accurately.
- Can figure out if pain is getting in the way of an imaging procedure and contact the right doctor to help. Understands and takes part in the PI process.
- Prepares and delivers contrast media and/or drugs within the established area of practice and in accordance with relevant state and federal laws Observes the patient during the surgery and records any abnormalities. Monitors procedures and makes recommendations for changes or improvements as needed.
- Ascertains that all exams are labeled with the patient’s name, date, technologist’s name, and exam time. Patients are covered while in transportation and throughout surgery. Compliance with recognized agencies, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Safe and efficient patient care is provided by the nurse. Radiation safety requirements are strictly adhered to when necessary.. Working knowledge of cardiac principles and clinical processes is essential.
- After completing their examinations, patients are directed to the radiology department, where they are placed on an x-ray table and instructed on the proper ways to breathe and position their bodies for the finest possible pictures to be taken.
Skills:
- Expert in all areas of diagnostic imaging, A minimum of two years’ experience in radiology is required, with three years desirable. Knowledge of vital signs
- a license and/or a fluoroscopy permit, if the state requires it, Must know about state and federal rules, Current BCLS (AHA), Preferably one year of experience in acute clinical radiography, program that has been approved by JRCERT or ABHES
- Received permission from the appropriate authorities. To practice, a doctor must be an American Board of Radiology Fellow. You should always be a member of the Medical Protective Association (or equivalent).
- It is required to have a registration in either the field of Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Radiologic Technician (RT(R), or Cardiovascular Technician (CVT)) (RCIS)
- a bachelor’s degree from a medical college or osteopathy college that is recognized together with active residency in a radiology training program.
