The Office Clerk’s responsibilities will span a wide range of secretarial and administrative tasks in support of the facility’s local operations. Contribute to the smooth running of the office and the building by carrying out a variety of duties.

Qualifications:

  • Maintain documents and records to keep them current and accessible.
  • Carry out administrative and clerical duties in accordance with established norms and general direction.
  • According to standard office practices, documents need to be printed, scanned, and updated. Make sure that all facility-related records are kept in order.
  • Create spreadsheets and execute other office work using computers and office equipment including printers, photocopiers, and scanners.
  • Respond accurately and promptly to consumer messages, and investigate and resolve customer issues.
  • Help maintain the efficiency of the Support Office by performing general administrative chores such as answering phones, filing paperwork, keeping the office tidy, etc.
  • Collaborating is working together with other people to accomplish a common objective.
  • Assist in the administration and office support functions by maintaining office records, personnel files and answering routine questions about company policy.
  • Accounting Functions- Perform accounting duties such as data entry, payroll, invoices, credits, inventory, billing, and production reporting during the fiscal period.
  • Keep an eye on the stock levels of office supplies (such as paper clips and stationery) and report any shortages.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a secretary or in another clerical role.
  • a proficient stenographer and quick typist with knowledge of taking dictations.
  • a familiarity with general office and accounting practices and procedures.
  • competency in learning about and comprehending the carpet padding and transportation businesses.
  • Possessing strong verbal and written communication skills is beneficial for interacting with customers, truck drivers, office staff, and management.
