Qualifications:
- In this job, you’ll update and maintain the financial reporting system as needed. You’ll also check documents, data, and reports for mistakes and correct them. You’ll track data and make sure the budget is being met.
- Plan the study, coordinate the execution, and report on the results. Sponsors, managers, or senior staff may have problems that need to be solved.
- Collaborate with other economists and senior executives in order to effectively communicate and convey economic concepts and quantitative data to non-technical audiences.
- Evaluate and amend existing models to ensure the group’s research objectives are met while strengthening the core models.
- The person in this position responds to requests for information and training from within the sphere of power, as well as to requests from other government agencies and members of the public.
- Use economic data from the past to figure out how different projects’ economic elements work together.
- Statements of economic goals, objectives, policies, and/or predictions based on integrated economic analysis are needed to monitor and evaluate economic programs and priorities, and they must be written before this can happen.
- Use large and diversified datasets to accelerate data analysis and the development of new goods and services based on cutting-edge analytical techniques.
- Find out what kinds of data and methods will be utilized to perform thorough, objective research that will cover knowledge gaps and serve as a foundation for future policy and planning.
- The senior Economist will help you do economic research, analyze and interpret economic data, come up with estimates of benefits, and report your findings.
Skills:
- Individual economic research projects that require planning, gathering information, analyzing and evaluating it, drawing conclusions, and writing a report are all part of the process.
- A Bachelor’s or higher degree with a major other than economics may be substituted for up to one year of the needed work experience, with a maximum of one year of the required work experience.
- There must be a way for non-technical audiences to comprehend presentations and reports. This must be done.
