Job Description
As a Child Care Specialist, you will assist the Lead Daycare Specialist in the operation of our childcare facility by being joyful and enthusiastic. You’ll carry out daily activities as scheduled, show compassion and care to children and their families, and guarantee each child’s physical and emotional safety and well-being. In this position, you’ll contribute to our aims of fostering play, discovery, communication, and personalized child-centered development while also assisting us in maintaining a warm, kind, and loving learning environment for children.

Qualifications:
- As a team, social service personnel and investigators examine and document claims of child abuse and neglect.
- Co-plans appropriate learning activities for groups of children depending on their age, group size, composition, and other characteristics, in order to implement the center’s educational philosophy.
- Child care regulations can only be followed if all parties working in the sector in a specific region collaborate as a team to ensure that there is no overlap in services.
- When an inspector finds an issue that needs fixing, he or she has a duty to let child care providers know about it, develop a plan for fixing it, and offer a timeline for when repairs or enhancements will be completed.
- To the State, he recommends or rejects new child care provider applications, as well as the termination of existing registrations.
- This role requires you to work with the division and the information technology group to keep track of child care registration data.
- Verifies that child care providers are conforming to state and federal requirements by inspecting and evaluating current and prospective facilities.
- Providing training, responding to questions, and distributing child care-related information are all examples of how this position assists facility owners with technical difficulties.
- Creating a growth-promoting atmosphere that promotes self-confidence, trust, and respect among employees.
- Allow for weekend and nighttime visits for health and safety inspections. Maintain the necessary flexibility.
Skills:
- Effective communication with groups of managers, customers, board members, and members of the general public, as well as the ability to reply to inquiries, are essential.
- A Master’s Degree or the equivalent of 36 credit hours of post-baccalaureate academic work is required. Four years of administration or teaching experience in an education program, or affiliation with one.
- The ability to read, assess, and grasp general business publications, technical procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities are required.
- Experience dealing with low-income families and/or child care subsidies, as well as knowledge of the Child Care Resource and Referral Service or child care services, is preferred.
