Job Description
As a Child Care Specialist, you will assist the Lead Daycare Specialist in the operation of our childcare facility by being joyful and enthusiastic. You’ll carry out daily activities as scheduled, show compassion and care to children and their families, and guarantee each child’s physical and emotional safety and well-being. In this position, you’ll contribute to our aims of fostering play, discovery, communication, and personalized child-centered development while also assisting us in maintaining a warm, kind, and loving learning environment for children.

Qualifications:
- Conveys concerns to child care providers, prepares a plan for remedial action, and provides dates for correction.
- Groups of children of various ages, compositions, and other aspects are co-planned with the center’s educational philosophy in mind.
- Verifies that child care providers are conforming to state and federal requirements by inspecting and evaluating current and prospective facilities.
- Creating a growth-promoting environment that encourages self-confidence, trust, and respect for others.
- Maintain the necessary flexibility in order to meet the demand for health and safety monitoring visits on weekends and nights, if necessary.
- Conducts training, answers to inquiries, and provides facility owners with child-care-related information.
- Helps the state decide whether to approve new applications for child care providers and terminate current registrations.
- In partnership with the division and information technology, keeps track of child care registration data.
- Investigates and documents complaints of abuse, neglect, or misbehavior in partnership with social service personnel.
- Child care regulations can only be observed to if all parties participating in the sector in a specific region work together as a team to ensure limited collaboration.
Skills:
- It is necessary to have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working with low-income families and familiarity with the Child Care Resource and Referral Service are both highly desirable qualifications.
- Effective communication with groups of managers, consumers, board members, and members of the general public, as well as the ability to respond to enquiries, are crucial.
- A Master’s degree or the equivalent of 36 credit hours of post-baccalaureate academic work is required. It is necessary to have four years of management or teaching experience in an educational program, or connection with one.
- Reading, evaluating, and comprehending general business periodicals as well as technical processes and regulatory requirements, among other things, are required skills for success in this sector of work.
