Job Description
In a childcare education program for children, the Child Care Specialist is in charge of co-planning and conducting developmentally appropriate lessons and child evaluations, as well as maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere. Student personnel, work study students, student interns, and student instructors may be supervised (as assigned) by the Child Care Specialist. This job is also responsible for preparing and leading parent/teacher conferences.

Qualifications:
- The technical support division provides technical help to facility operators by offering training, responding to enquiries, and providing information on child care-related topics.
- Social workers collaborate with investigators to look into and record any claims of abuse, neglect, or misbehavior.
- Informs and explains child care providers about concerns that need corrective action, develops a plan for appropriate corrective action, and establishes timelines for completing the repairs or improvements.
- Inspections and assessments of current and prospective child care facilities ensure that providers are abiding by applicable state and federal rules and regulations.
- Use the educational philosophy of the center and the input of other staff to construct learning activities suited for diverse student groups based on their ages, sizes and compositions.
- You’ll need to work with the division and the IT department to keep track of child care registration data.
- To the State, he recommends or refuses new applications for child care providers, as well as the cancellation of present registration.
- Creating an environment that promotes self-confidence, trust, and human respect.
- Allow for weekend and late health and safety monitoring visits as needed. Maintain this flexibility.
- Encouraging a limited level of cooperation between child care providers in a certain area in order to comply with local requirements.
Skills:
- It is necessary to have a Master’s degree or the equivalent of 36 credit hours of post-baccalaureate academic study. Four years of educational administration or teaching experience, or association with one.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to transmit information to a wide range of audiences, including managers and clients, the board of directors, and members of the public.
- It is necessary to read, evaluate, and interpret general business periodicals, technical processes, and regulatory requirements.
- It is necessary to have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Experience dealing with low-income families and/or child care subsidies, as well as knowledge of the Child Care Resource and Referral Service or child care services, is preferred.
