Job Description
A banker’s main responsibilities will be as a teller and/or personal banker. Customers and bank personnel must be encountered frequently in person, via written correspondence, or over the phone in this role. At all times, strong customer service abilities must be used. This job may have many officers reporting to it. In order to provide comprehensive financial services to consumers, the Banker interacts often with other departments. Work results are evaluated, and performance is measured against defined objectives. The amount of physical exertion required is above normal.

Qualifications:
- Providing advice on how to improve a client’s financial situation or connecting them with the relevant folks are examples of financial planning.
- Responsible for ensuring the security of the bank’s assets, including properly identifying clients, protecting the confidentiality of customer information, balancing accounts at the conclusion of each workday, and preparing appropriate reports summarizing daily operations
- Maintain a thorough grasp of branch operations to ensure that all rules and procedures are adhered to.
- By selling consumer banking goods and services directly to clients, you can help the Bank’s overall sales efforts.
- Carrying out a broad variety of tasks as assigned by the branch or department, including, but not limited to, bank deposits and cash recovery, opening and closing the office and vault, report creation, and any other duties needed to keep the department running smoothly.
- To be safe, make sure the check is authentic and verify the endorsement and proper identity.
- By asking the right questions and listening to the answers, you may gain a better understanding of the customer’s objectives.
- In order to keep the quantity of money in the teller drawers under control, you must buy and sell money from the vault as needed.
- Prepare yourself for every day interactions by maintaining an ordered workspace and a polished look.
- Handle all standard banking transactions for customers who come in person, through drive-up, night depository, mail, or online.
Skills:
- Customer relations, accuracy, speed, detail, flexibility, and judgement, as well as a pleasant, professional demeanor and the ability to accomplish a variety of tasks, are the most important qualities of this position.
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- A minimum of 12 to 18 months of customer engagement and sales experience is required, and prior banking experience is preferred.
- Will learn to use the teller machine, calculator, keyboard, encoder, image capture/scanner, Oscar (ATM cards), SEI Trust System, Streamline, and Vertex.
- Be well-informed about the obligations that are directly connected to retail divisions (deposit operations, client care, records management, etc.)
