Job Description
In your role as Creative Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing original strategies and creative parameters for all of our products, both new and old. The individual in this role will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of designers (including graphic designers, industrial designers, photographers, illustrators, etc.), working closely with external consultants, freelancers, and agency partners, and contributing to multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams (including strategists, marketers, copywriters, etc.). When presenting to upper management, the Creative Director will do so with self-assurance and modesty, despite the importance of the tasks at hand. The position of Creative Director requires someone who can defend their work and explain the reasoning behind it while still being receptive to new ideas and criticism. It is crucial to your success in this field that you are able to articulate your vision both orally and visually. Candidates for this role should be at ease in and open to new situations, such as those found in brainstorming sessions and other forms of group work.

Qualifications:
- Researches the creative marketplace; keeps up with trends and innovation.
- Delivers expert client presentations that are engaging, succinct, and direct, supported by a solid argument and strategy, in a manner that is clear, simple, and convincing visually.
- Performs internal reviews of creative ideas with the team; manages, coaches, and mentors’ subordinates.
- helps to keep the brand’s visual identity consistent as it is introduced to new markets. It is standard practice to document and safeguard a comprehensive brand style guide, which can then be distributed to stakeholders as required.
- Contributes to the success of the internal creative team by completing projects that are both original and well-thought-out from a strategic standpoint.
- makes sure that business partners and the creative function are in regular and informed contact.
- Assists internal and external partners to represent the governance and equity of core brands; acts as a constant equity champion to maintain brand continuity both inside and outside the firm.
- Coordinating with the Account Management lead and other department heads to set budgets, timelines, and deliverables is important for keeping costs down.
- Takes part in briefings for the brand; both approves and rejects alternatives depending on the brand’s creative approach.
- Maintains an innovative spirit through careful planning.
Skills:
- Master’s Degree in design, advertising, or communications plus 6 years of graphic design, communications, or advertising experience to include package design experience reflecting increasing levels or responsibility.
- packaging design expertise, including knowledge of standard design, production, and cost factors.
- a pro at formulating design strategies and perfecting concepts from conception to development to implementation.
- Intermediate knowledge of the Apple Macintosh platform, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
- ability to handle multiple responsibilities at once, adapt well to new situations, and maintain composure under pressure.
