Full-Time Cook – Crew Member – Al Kharj
Job Description
A Cook’s primary task is to design and prepare healthy meals for guests. Cooks are in charge of the kitchen’s day-to-day operations, such as making orders, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and adhering to all food safety regulations. Someone who is well-organized, self-motivated, and has prior cooking experience is most suited for this position.

Qualifications:
- Has overall responsibility for the kitchen’s safety and efficiency while the Head Chef or Sous Chef is not present.
- Tastes items, examines menus, estimates food requirements, inspects production, and maintains records to accurately plan production needs and request supplies and equipment.
- You must be able to lift up to 20 pounds, push/pull up to 40 pounds, and carry up to 30 pounds while standing and walking.
- Keeps all kitchen areas clean and organized, including storage shelves, passageways, workstations, walk-ins, refrigerators, and coolers.
- The Cook prepares and serves food, including texture-adjusted and therapeutic diets, according to the facility menu.
- Assist with the operation of cleaning equipment and dishwashing machines as needed to ensure the cleanliness of all kitchen spaces, tools, and utensils.
- The Cook must be meticulous, well-dressed, professional, and a team member who can work well with others.
- A cook is in charge of setting up, food preparation, organization, sanitation, and the manufacturing of food and beverage items, as well as shutting and storing individual work stations.
- Meets the company’s scheduling availability criteria, which include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- As directed by the Executive Chef, provide high-quality hot and cold foods.
Skills:
- Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate with various management levels.
- It is required that you have one year of cooking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
- If you are 18 years old or older, you must be able to pass a background check as per Company policy, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, former job, education, and personal references, unless federal, state, or provincial legislation prohibits it.
- A high school graduation or equivalent is required, with a culinary degree preferred.
- All HACCP policies and procedures are followed.
