Full-Time Curatorial Assistant – Abha
Job Description
In order to fill the job of Curator, the Center is looking for an exceptionally competent candidate. This role assists with the administration and supervision of the museum’s collection and department personnel. Under the broad direction of the Chief Curator, most of the work is done independently.

Qualifications:
- organized exhibitions and publishing projects that span national lines, as well as doing research on the subject matter, managing show preparation and searching for loans.
- Encourage the recruitment of volunteers, put them in suitable roles, and keep track of their progress to ensure they get enough training.
- Involved in all aspects of daily collection administration, including directing and participating. Responsible for overseeing the museum’s acquisition, preservation, and conservation of assets such as artifacts, artifacts, pictures and documentary records.
- Establish and keep in place positive proactive relationships with other municipal departments as well as with outside suppliers, programming partners, and educational institutions.
- Write peer-reviewed articles and books on computers’ history by analyzing their design, technology, culture, and historical importance.
- taking an active role in the long-term creation and management of collections and information related to such collections or exhibits
- Phone, email and face-to-face support are available for first-contact public services. Performs basic reference interviews and explains the procedures that are involved. Meets all of the department’s standards for timeliness, accuracy, and precision. According to departmental guidelines, records must include references to any interactions that occurred.
- Modern historical literature and interpretative best practices are kept up to date. Keeps up with cutting-edge research and new historical arguments. Looks for ways to use current historical knowledge in programming.
- Conducts negotiations for repository agreements and gift deeds. Assesses gifts and purchases, handles loan agreements, and guarantees policy compliance.
- Participate in the continuous efforts of the museum system to ensure that it continues to meet the demands of a varied audience in terms of cognitive, physical, and social/emotional requirements.

- Effective and extraordinary written and verbal communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders; comfort with public speaking; maintains a good working understanding of museum best practices.
- A four-year degree in museum work or a related field is necessary to get four years of work experience.
- being able to generate and edit metadata for digital collections, finding aids and other archive descriptions.
