Full-Time Custodian/Facilities Technician – Nairyah
Job Description
The Facilities Technician reports to the Facilities Supervisor and is responsible for the care of the company’s buildings and grounds, as well as the upkeep of all allocated equipment. Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs all corporate buildings and grounds, including roads, parking lots, ditches, and other related locations. Including, but not limited to, general cleaning, painting, flooring, door and hardware repair, roofing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and concrete work.

Qualifications:
- Contributes to the success of the department’s goals by demonstrating good work habits and functioning in a team atmosphere.
- Building, structural, and grounds maintenance requires a wide range of semi- and skilled work. Take care of any problems that may arise with the structure (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs)
- This individual is responsible for ensuring the correct functioning of central plants and all other facility-related activities.
- For the purpose of bettering communication, both in the form of words and nonverbal cues, as well as the ability to lead, Providing the greatest possible customer and patient service necessitates a high level of professionalism in communication.
- Assign normal, operational duties to allocated workers in line with predetermined work priorities and act as a work leader.
- To enhance the customer experience and service levels, this position assists in identifying complicated facility improvements, making suggestions and work orders, and monitoring their execution.
- Incorporates and adjusts alarms and trend setups, as well as conducts high-level data analytics and alarm reporting functions.
- Fixes and examines sophisticated equipment for a living. Maintains and fixes sophisticated machinery. In line with relevant rules and regulations, consistently install systems and equipment. The department’s emergency systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, are maintained and tested. The Lead Tech/Supervisor should be contacted with any queries or concerns.
- Make use of a work order management system to keep track of maintenance, projects, and general work orders.
- Work with technicians to help them develop their self-esteem and competence as facility assistants/technicians. To retain and motivate employees, implement a system of peer accountability.
Skills:
- Consistently demonstrates the essential knowledge, talents, and skills in order to successfully do the work at hand.
- An education that is on par with a high school diploma or a general education development certificate (examples include: GED, verification of homeschool equivalency, partial or full completion of post-secondary education, etc.)
- It is necessary to have at least one skilled trades-person on hand, such as a carpenter, plumber, electrician, painter, roofer, HVAC technician, or someone who can do general maintenance.
- These professionals must be able to communicate effectively in at least two languages, with an emphasis on safety and security for both patients and employees.
- To be able to do employment activities that include the following: standing, squatting, bending at the waist and twisting one’s upper body, climbing hand over hand through narrow openings, lifting 50 pounds and working on platforms in noisy, hot, dusty, or cold environments.
