Job Description
Work under the direction of a certified pharmacist, the Pharmacy Assistant aids with pharmacy duties that do not need the pharmacist’s expertise. Included but not limited to filling units and repackaging, paying, keeping track of inventory and completing stock orders.

Qualifications:
- There should be no gaps in this information, such as a drug name or a precise dosage, or instructions on how to get a fresh prescription. Generic or therapeutic substitutes are possible.
- Acquires a broad understanding of the market, competitive environment, customer needs, distribution channels, and Company offers for the given product
- Verifies the proper patient by comparing a call slip against a claim check, validating a patient’s health plan card, or other patient identification.
- It is recommended that deposits be made in the same amount by cash, credit card, and check. Before you shut up shop for the day, check the register for any errors and correct them.
- In the event of an emergency, perform a wide range of duties, such as sick call covering, vacancy replacement, workload shifts, and project management.
- Using the batch record provided by the pharmacist, packages and labels sterile and non-sterile items, as well as dosages that are manufactured on the spot.
