Qualifications:
- Preparing for everyday contacts by maintaining a professional appearance and keeping a well-organized workspace.
- Customers may bring you any and all conventional banking transactions, whether they come to you in person, via a drive-up or a night depository, over the mail, or through the internet.
- Recommending the best choice for improving the customer’s financial condition or referring the client to the appropriate persons to suit their needs.
- Secures the bank’s assets by accurately identifying customers, keeping customer information confidential, balancing at the end of each workday, and creating daily reports.
- To obtain a deeper knowledge of the customer’s goals, ask appropriate questions and listen to their responses.
- Check cash checks for endorsement, proper identification, and authenticity.
- Purchase and sell money from the vault on an as-needed basis in order to keep the quantity of money in the teller drawers within acceptable limits.
- Direct sales of consumer banking products and related services to support the Bank’s overall sales efforts.
- Including but not limited to: bank deposits/cash recovery, opening/closing the office and vault, report writing, and other job duties that assist the department operate efficiently.
- Maintain a watchful eye on branch operations to verify that all rules and procedures are adhered to.
Skills:
- A minimum of 12 to 18 months of customer interaction and sales experience is required, with banking experience preferred.
- Be well-informed about the obligations that are directly connected to retail divisions (deposit operations, client care, records management, etc.)
- The most important parts of this job are customer service, accuracy, speed, precision, flexibility, and judgement, as well as a friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to multitask.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a cheerful attitude, and a willingness to serve others are required.
- The equipment and applications for the teller machine, calculator, keyboard, encoder, image capture/scanner, Oscar (ATM cards), SEI Trust System, Streamline, and Vertex will all be discussed.
