Job Description
To deliver excellent care and ensure our facilities’ success, we need a dedicated and pleasant Front Office Assistant. As a Front Office Assistant, you will be responsible for greeting patients, activating patient files, and assisting medical experts. We’d love to have you join our team if you’re a team player with a kind and approachable demeanor, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask. This is a patient-facing role that requires exposure to a clinical setting. There is some noise present, and infectious diseases and blood-borne infections are possible. It demands the ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time (with significant bending and stooping), physical dexterity in relation to clinical requirements, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Hours may vary according on geography, patient volume, and employer requirements.

Qualifications:
- Examine and confirm the competency of front-desk staff. Identify and escalate performance issues with the help of your supervisor and/or practice manager.
- The distribution of faxes, interoffice forms, enquiries, and other communication techniques to the necessary staff.
- Regular and timely attendance in accordance with company policy, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local laws.
- Additional responsibilities may be allocated to office workers. Copying and disseminating messages, preparing spreadsheets, and entering data are all examples of administrative chores.
- Assemble final reports for clients using data collected by analysts and computer systems. Department and/or office managers allocate priority to reports.
- Adheres to and ensures compliance with Company and department-specific policies, processes, value statements, and standards for Commitment to Excellence.
- Capable of working in a team atmosphere and providing help to team members as required.
- As a Front Office Assistant, you must be able to multi-task while answering phones and taking messages.
- Within the limits of expertise and abilities, do any extra or miscellaneous responsibilities as asked by the management team.
- Greeting facility visitors and suppliers, aiding with Covid-19 screening processes, and routing traffic through the front office of the facility to the proper locations.
Skills:
- It is also essential that a doctor demonstrate proficiency in using a practice management computer system at 30 words per minute (wpm).
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees, departments, and members of the general public.
- 6 months or more of expertise managing computer systems, tools, and technologies such as Microsoft Office, point of sale (POS), electronic medical record (EMR), or practice management and invoicing systems
- This position need complete COVID-19 immunization. To guarantee compliance, UnitedHealth Group will follow all federal, state, and local rules as well as any client needs, including obtaining requisite evidence of immunization prior to employment.
- Excel and Word skills in Microsoft Office, as well as good verbal and written communication skills, must be learned.
