Job Description
All business and general ledger accounts are accurately reconciled by the Junior Accountant. This comprises bank statements, credit cards, and audits of general ledger accounts on a quarterly, monthly, or annual basis. Financial preparation and analysis of accounts, as well as reporting of financial variations and mistakes, are among the responsibilities. Additional knowledge of accounting software programmes and Excel will be advantageous.

Qualifications:
- By analyzing current and future laws, ensuring adherence to rules, and advising management on essential decisions, this function assures compliance with federal, state, and municipal financial legal obligations.
- By keeping financial information secret, it preserves trust and safeguards operations.
- Assists with daily cash posting, including documenting electronic wires and book transfers via daily cash receipts, as well as collecting the necessary backup (e.g. distribution calculation, supporting emails) This is everything essential.
- Making and keeping track of intercompany schedules is essential for accurate interest calculations, as well as for ensuring that partnership agreements and management directions are fulfilled. Makes certain the correct information is located and recorded (e.g. terms and accounts).
- Contracts should be examined to ensure that revenue reporting is consistent with both contract and technical revenue recognition recommendations.
- In accordance with business rules, prepares and modifies depreciation schedules and journal entries (e.g. consistent application of accounts and depreciable lives).
- Assists in the production of tax packages for corporations and investment organizations, including debt sections, for submission to the IRS.
- Aid in the resolution of accounting issues as they arise, and approach them with a solution-oriented perspective.
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of good client relationships.
- For this role, it would be advantageous but not necessary to be fluent in another language (Spanish or French preferred)
Skills:
- Presentation abilities that are outstanding (Excel, other as needed)
- Has excellent analytical skills, is a natural mathematician, and has a keen eye for detail. Has worked with accounting software such as Great Plains ERP systems.
- When things move quickly, it’s important to be able to perform well under pressure, deal with conflicting goals, and meet deadlines.
- One year of bookkeeping or similar accounting or financial expertise is required.
- A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting or finance is required of the candidate (equivalent experience considered)
