Job Description

The Financial Specialist will work with the business, controllership, IT, and compliance teams to deploy new apps, procedures, or reporting solutions. They will work on the project from analysis and design through deployment and stabilization. This role demands a proven project/process manager with good financial understanding and teamwork abilities. The selected applicant will have shown capacity to work in cross-functional global teams, achieve outcomes, take calculated risks, and collaborate with partners throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • To get buy-in and support for systems/solution integration and process reengineering activities, communicate and collaborate with all levels of management and users.
  • In line with approved budgets, the incumbent creates, executes, and advises on agency-wide policies and processes for acquiring, allocating, distributing, obligating, and spending monies.
  • PCMI, Western Growers Assurance Trust (WGAT), as well as particular account transactions, are being manually checked against the HealthCare Processing System’s group ledger (COBRA).
  • Observes and reports on the state and progress of work, inspects work in progress and upon completion for quality, adherence to instructions, and to verify that goals are achieved..

  • Ensure effective support for forward-looking finance and compliance initiatives for solutions and procedures that allow growth and efficiency.
  • Help the Associate Analyst with monthly fee computations and rolling monthly reporting spreadsheets.
  • In order to ensure correct vendor payment, the payroll deduction database is checked on a regular basis, and billing administrator-reported inactive payment reports are used. Payroll deductions, benefit programs, and bills are summed up regularly, with controls in place to guarantee that the information is accurate. Payments to vendors are handled in the proper manner. Ad hoc analysis is carried out as and when necessary..
  • Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) Program management and analysis of financial programs and issues.
  • Communication and collaboration with many levels of management and users are required in order to get support for and buy-in for systems/solution integration initiatives and process reengineering operations.

  • Planning and managing your finances requires an understanding of a variety of ideas and methods that you should be familiar with.
  • Ability to plan, organize, coach, encourage, and guide subordinate colleagues in the use of automated data processing principles, system capabilities, and cost-effective applications to efficiently execute tasks.
  • Intermediate understanding of end-user office applications, such as calendaring, word-processing, spreadsheets, and email, as well as the ability to create a strong competency working with a proprietary health-care system.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or a closely related field may be substituted for the required experience in the accounting or finance industry.
