Job Description
All items must be translated or adapted effectively by the Translator. Assists in the translation of website material, marketing copy, in-store communication, and corporate rules and procedures. This profession involves a high degree of collaboration and an eye for detail.

Qualifications:
- Execute clerical duties, such as answering phones, greeting visitors, addressing general inquiries, opening and sorting mail, creating purchase order requests, verifying invoices, and preparing stipends to be paid.
- Translates and edits translations completed by other District workers. Contributes to the training of District personnel and consultants who provide translation services to schools.
- Verifying that the original meaning, tone, and intent have not been corrupted is a crucial part of the translation process.
- It’s important to be able to accurately translate written materials such as flyer and social media posts into any language.
- It is imperative that the translator thoroughly researches and checks all of the technical and medical terminology before beginning any translation.
- Forms, urgent contacts to parents, alerts of medical concerns, legal and confidential matters, handbooks, advisories, surveys, school newsletters, and other District publications are all translated.
- geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural factors may be captured in written language. Word choice and expression are typically consistent with target language (TL) norms and ways of expression particular to the subject area (or fields), and they are strong enough to enable the translator to work progressively in that field after the first translation.
- Creates and maintains databases that include data on the temporary employee pool, such as evaluation findings, hours worked, training status, and other pertinent information.
- Be an expert in the use of research tools. Microsoft Office abilities are required, as well as basic internet research skills, to develop textual translations and goods.
- Conversations between parents and teachers about their children’s academic achievement, disciplinary concerns, medical emergencies, and other delicate matters are translated by the translator.
Skills:
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to utilize a personal vehicle when providing interpretation services in educational and community contexts
- Translation, Foreign Language, or equivalence necessary, as well as a proven ability to communicate effectively in both the written and spoken word.
- Essential skills include the capacity to converse effectively in two languages at the native speaker level and a thorough understanding of the cultural context in which those languages are spoken, both of which are required.
- Capabilities to communicate in a specified language at a level beyond that of a casual conversation, enabling constituents with limited English language proficiency to participate fully in the process under consideration.
- The ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, students, and others is critical when it comes to teaching.
