You will be supporting the Safety Manager with the coordination and planning of emergency drills and exercises, the evaluation and execution of after-action plans connected to real accidents and/or drills/exercises as a Safety Coordinator with us.

Qualifications:
- Safety meetings are organized and attended. Plans, develops, and delivers or organizes the delivery of safety-related training to various departments on a monthly basis.
- Investigate occurrences and work with management and staff to devise strategies for preventing future calamities. Keep an eye on the results as you implement your approach.
- This position necessitates consistent and predictable attendance, as well as the ability to do tasks properly and adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
- Assist with revising and reviewing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Lockout Procedures, as well as ensuring that employees have received enough training.
- Ensures that all required safety-related equipment and system testing, inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs are carried out on time. Ascertains that ILSM risks are recognized and shortcomings are corrected in line with policy.
- Employees, supervisors, managers, and other stakeholders are counselled and provided technical support on matters such as worker’s compensation and fitness for duty judgments.
- It’s critical to help with the project’s application of our safety policy and zero-accident culture (s).
- Hearing conservation, chemical inventory/control, hazardous communications/SDS, ergonomics, and other programs are developed and implemented by this person. Schedules and either provides or arranges for annual audiometric testing.
- Assess the workplace for hazards on a regular basis and install hazard controls before an accident happens. Determine whether any employees are participating in potentially dangerous safety behaviors and, if so, whether more training is necessary.
- Managers and supervisors are advised and assisted in establishing a safe working environment. Safety or hazard control equipment should be purchased, used, and installed.
