Job Description
We’re seeking to expand our Animation department by hiring a new employee! This Animator will be able to handle both character and battle animation in a small and agile team. Comedic timing and dynamic poses are required for this job. Mocap recording and cleaning are also required. A timed animation exam is required for candidates to exhibit their skills.

Qualifications:
- Ensure that the vision, production, and execution of animation assets, as well as systems design and engineering, are all aligned. Develop run-time character animation techniques and pipelines in conjunction with technical teams.
- Producing animation under direction using Maya as the primary tool Collaborate with the program’s Director to produce animation that seamlessly complements the overall appearance of the show, and Maintain the file management structure, organize the project, and use version control in accordance with the defined standards.
- to remain up-to-date with industry trends and procedures, to evaluate competing goods, and to learn new software, Show your teammates some courtesy by acting as a responsible team member.
- Pre-visualization and the development of first concepts are the result of collaboration with the creative director, design, and the surroundings. Storyboards, live-action video, and 3D blocking are all examples of this kind of production.
- Build and maintain the animations that will bring our game world to life in order to provide an engaging, immersive gaming experience. New characters may be animated from scratch, while old characters can be supported and expanded upon.
- The ability to quickly rig and skin characters in accordance with mobile game technology constraints helps you to produce convincing, fluid, and acceptable character animations from diverse IPs.
- In order to successfully fulfill deadlines and milestones, do your own self-evaluation of progress and make use of tactics for time management as well as tools for production tracking. Maintain clear and cordial lines of communication with all members of the creative and production teams, as well as with your fellow employees.
- Change the animations, rigs, and skin weights that the vendor gave you as needed. Work closely with the art and engineering teams to solve technical problems like animation and rigging.
- The ability to identify and solve issues on your own is essential. Clearly express your creative viewpoint and build on the aesthetic direction you were provided. To do this, we’ll need deformations, procedural modeling, and animation.
- Make realistic simulations of clothing and hair for characters. Produce shot work by creating simulations, animations, and final animations of fabric. Achieve art direction for a photo by solving challenges creatively.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of the basics and principles of traditional animation, able to show an excellent visual and technical understanding of how animation works, Experienced in gameplay animation, able to animate at a very high quality level and using a variety of techniques and styles
- Animator with a strong technical background and at least two years of professional experience in the industry, as well as the capacity to rig and animate styled 2D characters in a short amount of time.
- A thorough grasp of cinematic staging, blocking, cinematography, and editing is desirable. Experience in the construction of scenes, shots, cameras, and characters is a bonus.
- 1-3 years of experience in this industry is required for previsualizations, preliminary layouts, and/or characters for computer-generated animation. Having the ability to use Maya is a bonus, but I’m also a big fan of rough layouts and stories.
- Bachelor’s degree necessary, preferably in computer science, computer graphics, or computer animation (Recent graduates considered).
