Job Description

The person in charge of the front desk at a hotel must show and encourage a dedication to giving the finest possible service to customers. Qualifications:

  • Guest excellence: Talk to guests with a smile and help them find out about the property and nearby things to do. Guest experience – looks for ways to make more money.
  • Create a daily cash report, balancing payments and expenditures with machine totals; generate a deposit slip; and help the Guest Services Manager by providing a summary of daily bank status. Changes should be requested.
  • Serving guests quickly, politely, and professionally Maintain outstanding service and hospitality, and swiftly and successfully resolve guest concerns and complaints.
  • Fill out your guests’ registration forms and make sure they have all the information they need before they arrive. Accept credit cards and photo IDs, write down the information on the guest’s account, and give guests their change when they need it.
  • Welcome guests with a smile and a heartfelt hello as soon as they walk through the door. Use a happy and clear speaking voice, listen to comprehend demands, react with appropriate action, and give correct information, such as outlet hours and area attractions.
  • Assist with Breakfast, Social, Housekeeping, Laundry, etc. Keep hotel restrooms, lobby, and other public spaces clean.
  • “People excellence” measures a hotel’s dedication to customer service and camaraderie. Show your consumers excellent quality by respecting them and giving timely, accurate service.
  • Hotel communications, reports, and data must be kept safe at all times. Take care of incoming and outgoing bookings and lost and found items according the GM’s instructions.
  • Help clean whatever portion of the hotel that the supervisor directs you to, such as the front desk, the staff break room, the guest laundry, the fitness room, the vending areas, the stairwells, and the public spaces.
  • Close the guest’s account and verify their satisfaction at the time of check-out. A supervisor should be contacted if a problem continues despite your best attempts to discover a solution on your own, within the constraints of the company’s laws and regulations.

Skills:

  • You must have a high school diploma or the equivalent. You must know how to use computers, and you must have worked at a hotel front desk for at least three years.
  • Communicate well with both internal and external customers who need patience, tact, and diplomacy to control their anger, get the right information, and solve problems.
  • able to do necessary work while standing and moving around the front office Can read, write, speak, and listen in English.
  • Computer abilities that are somewhat sophisticated are necessary to gather and enter data in a timely and precise way. It is vital to be able to hear and identify early warning indications of an impending crisis.
