For our locations, we need a Front Office Assistant who is eager and optimistic in order to provide exceptional service and be successful. Among your responsibilities as a Front Office Assistant will be welcoming patients, activating patient files, and providing assistance to medical professionals. When it comes to teamwork, interpersonal skills, and the capacity to manage several projects, we’d love for you to join our team. A clinical setting is required for this position. An infection or blood-borne illness might occur because of the noise intensity. The capacity to stand or sit for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds are also essential. Working hours may vary depending on the location, the quantity of patients, and the demands of the company.

Qualifications:
- Able to multitask, answer the phone, take messages, and file lab results, medical records, and other documents in accordance with practice rules and procedures.
- Produce analytical reports by entering data collected by analysts into a computer system. Department and/or office managers give priorities to reports.
- Perform any additional or ad hoc work as requested by the management team within your area of experience and talents.
- Maintains fairly consistent, timely attendance in accordance with Company policy, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned to office personnel. They may include tasks such as copying and sending emails, creating spreadsheets, and inputting data into the system, among others.
- Helping with Covid-19 screening procedures and directing traffic through the front office to the right places.
- Examine and validate the knowledge of the front-desk staff. Identify and escalate performance issues, then collaborate with the Supervisor and/or Practice Manager to remedy them.
- Adheres to and ensures adherence to company and department-specific policies, procedures, value statements, and Commitment to Excellence standards, as well as any other applicable standards.
- Ability to work well in a group and provide a hand when required to other members of the group as a team member.
- Distribution of faxes, inter-office forms, questions, and other communications to the appropriate members of the staff.
Skills:
- 6 months or more of experience managing computer systems, tools, and technologies such as Microsoft Office, POS, electronic medical record (EMR), or practice management and invoicing systems
- This role demands a complete COVID-19 vaccination. UnitedHealth Group will need proof of vaccination prior to employing any new workers as a matter of policy in order to comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Workers, departments and members of the general public must all be able to work together effectively.
- Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word fluency, are essential, as as strong verbal and written communication skills.
- To demonstrate proficiency with a practice management system, a typing speed of 30 words per minute is necessary.
