Job Description

Working at the hotel’s front desk, the Hotel Front Desk is responsible for welcoming and checking in customers as well as checking them out when they check out and leave. Meeting the needs of both existing and potential customers by providing exceptional service and taking bookings for both phone calls and walk-ins.

  • Check in all arriving guests and make certain that all necessary information is gathered, the registration card is filled out, and a payment mechanism is established. Accept and record credit card and picture ID information on guest accounts and deliver change for guests as required.
  • Assisting guests quickly, courteously, and professionally Maintain service and hospitality, Resolve guest problems or issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Guests want a warm smile and assistance in learning about the guest and area attractions as part of the experience they are having. Guests’ needs always come first, even if it means overlooking new revenue streams.
  • Check the machine totals against the daily payments and expenditures, produce deposit slips, and keep the Guest Services Manager informed on the daily bank status. Changes required
  • Help clean any part of the hotel that the boss tells you to, such as the front desk, the employee break room, the guest laundry, the fitness room, the vending areas, the stairwells, and the common areas.
  • It’s possible that the success of your department will have an influence on the way other parts of your company operate. Always ensure that the lobby, the toilets, and any other public areas of the hotel are clean.
  • Maintain the privacy and security of private hotel information, communication reports, and files. Take care of all reservation inquiries, both incoming and outgoing. As authorized by the General Manager, care for lost and found goods.
  • Welcome guests with a grin and a warm hello as soon as they enter the business. The consumer should be given accurate information about store hours and surrounding attractions in a friendly and understandable way.
  • Close guest accounts when they leave and make sure they were happy. In case of dissatisfaction, look into the problem and try to solve it according to the rules; this could mean giving the problem to a supervisor.


  • The ability to obtain and input data accurately using a high-end computer system. Having the ability to hear and detect signs of approaching disaster is critical to one’s safety.
  • Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or its equivalent At least three years of experience working at a hotel front desk is necessary for this position.
  • Ability to run property management system technology is required. Work through all shift reports and conduct the audit function as needed and assigned.
  • To moderate anger, obtain correct information, and resolve challenges, effectively engage with internal and external consumers who need patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • the skills to perform work duties while standing and moving about the front office Reading, listening and speaking fluency in both written and spoken English.
