Job Description

The Digital Designer is in charge of creating creative for emails, web sites, social media graphics, banner ads, and other digital aspects that is both successful and on-brand. The Digital Designer will manage, design, and schedule email campaigns, collaborate with our in-house Digital Marketing team and in-house Graphic Design team to create compelling digital and social media campaigns, collaborate with our e-Commerce team and developers to ensure aesthetics aligned with usability, accessibility, and web standards, and ensure branding consistency across all digital customer touchpoints.

Qualifications:

  • Assemble disparate elements of a design created by another specialist, such as branding programs, to meet the art director’s criteria.
  • In coordination with cross-functional teams, design and produce promotional and automated email campaigns, landing pages, banner ads, and social media images.
  • The candidate must be able to generate educational/factual content for print, web, and social media campaigns.
  • Excellent design and organizational skills, the ability to work as part of a team, the capacity to complete work on time and on budget, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to juggle several jobs and projects are all desirable attributes.
  • External printing coordination of planned and created printed content approved by the Marketing and Communications Manager.
  • Have 3 years of digital marketing design expertise, focusing on digital channels.
  • Choose the best techniques for achieving the necessary visual effects and make suggestions for methods and materials.
  • Can take creative direction and modify and improve concepts using feedback from a variety of team members.
  • Validate and enforce proper graphic and logo usage in all internal and external communications. All internal graphics created, as well as any deviations from the designs, will be presented to the Marketing & Communications Manager for evaluation and permission before being used.
  • Maintaining websites, blogs, social networking sites, newsletters, newspapers, magazines, graphic design, artwork, and infographics, as well as desktop publishing and presentation assistance.

Skills:

  • Strong PC skills and application experience are required; Microsoft Excel, Hyperion, and SAP are preferred.
  • An approved bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or visual arts/communications. If the candidate possesses a related Master’s degree in visual information and graphics design from an approved institution or a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as at least ten (10) years of recent experience in visual information and graphics design, the bachelor’s degree may be waived.
  • The applicant must be knowledgeable on how to use these programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat).
  • Experiential knowledge of illustrating concepts through the creation of rough layouts of art and copy in terms of arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts, obtaining concept approval through the submission of rough layouts for approval, and preparing finished copy and art for production and printing.
  • 13. It is necessary to have a working knowledge of web-based collaborative software.
