In this role, you’ll be tasked with activating one-of-a-kind consumer insights to boost brand performance, brand equity, and market share. The Marketing Associate provides support to the Manager in the areas of consumer communications and innovation, as well as in the team’s search of insights that enable a deeper understanding of the brand’s target audience and the creation of unforgettable brand experiences. The Marketing Associate is accountable for developing and executing initiatives that support the Marketing Manager’s goals for the brand’s communications and innovation strategies. This job collaborates closely with agency partners on communications strategy, planning, and implementation. Those in this role collaborate across departments, including Sales, Shopper Marketing, Operations, Product Development, and Finance, to increase demand for a company’s goods and services.

Qualifications:

  • Conduct brand management that demonstrates an understanding of key consumer insights and the capacity to apply those findings to appropriate marketing and innovation efforts.
  • Input into the process of identifying the optimal engagement strategy and campaign structure for reaching out to customers at optimal times and locations.
  • Manage agencies and cross-functional teams, develop and implement a strategy, plan, and execute on an actionable plan, and track progress toward goals while communicating with targeted audiences.
  • Make decisions about investment options that minimize risk and increase return while demonstrating the ability to manage projects on time and within budget. Find opportunities and take the helm of projects that communicate the brand’s promise of nutrition, health, and wellness.
  • Use data mining and other digital insight tools to look into the consumer/brand demand landscape.
  • Take charge of initiatives that advance the brand’s stance on food, health, and happiness, and look for ways to improve the business.
  • You may learn more about the people who buy your brand’s products or services by analyzing consumer and market data and trends.
  • Support the brand’s need for customers to recognize and comprehend the brand’s identity, essence, vision, mission, and fundamental values in order to drive pertinent communications and innovation.
  • Supervise consumer communication initiatives to generate an imaginative setting that breathes new life into the brand and enables effective consumer communication with a focus on digital and social media.
  • Provides input to Manager in the development of an annual plan to ensure the most effective coordination of Marketing and Sales activities in order to maximize brand demand by analyzing market, brand, customer, and consumer trend data.

Skills:

  • Experience managing marketing communications initiatives that include media and digital strategies is preferred.
  • Prior experience creating long-term plans for a company’s brands or products, including marketing campaigns and distribution methods, is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in collaborative cross-departmental teams and agency partnerships is a plus.
  • An understanding of how to use data and patterns to draw conclusions about client behavior would be an asset.
  • A master’s degree in business, marketing, or an MBA, OR at least three years of experience in consumer marketing, brand management, or product management is necessary.
