Qualifications:
- Translations done by others in the District are revised. The training of district staff and consultants who give translation services to schools is facilitated by this program.
- Your research resources should be used to the fullest extent possible. For written translations and goods, Microsoft Office and the Internet must be well understood.
- Databases are used to keep track of the temporary employee pool’s evaluation findings, hours worked, training status, and other relevant data.
- Correctly translate textual items such as flyer, social media postings, district wide announcements/press releases, and other sorts of papers into any language.
- It’s often possible to include geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components in a piece of prose. Choice of words and expression normally comply to target language standards and ways of expression particular to topic fields and are strong enough to enable translator to work consecutively in this area.
- Verify that translations are exact and full, and that the original text, meaning, and sentiment have not been altered in any way.
- Open and sort mail; create purchase order requisitions; verify and prepare invoice and stipend for payment; answer phone calls, welcome visitors, answer general inquiries; prepare purchase orders; prepare invoice and stipend for payment
- Translates conversations between parents and teachers regarding their children’s academic progress; disciplinary issues; medical crises; and other sensitive topics.
- As a way of ensuring that medical and technical terminology is accurately translated, the translator examines and evaluates it in both its original tongue and its intended target tongue.
- Conveys important information to parents and students in the form of educational papers such as paperwork and notifications of medical emergencies as well as legal and sensitive information.
Skills:
- Making a demonstration in a designated language that is superior to conversational skill in order to allow constituencies with limited English language capacity to engage fully in the identified process.
- You must be able to speak two native languages and have an understanding of their cultural background in order to succeed.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and the desire to interpret in school and community contexts using a personal vehicle
- Using and promoting communication skills while interacting with coworkers, pupils, and others to convey information
- The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in translation or a foreign language, or an equivalent degree, as well as a proven capacity to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
