- Researches complex issues by utilizing mathematical methods, statistical methods, engineering methods and operational mathematics (such as linear programming and game theory) as well as other principles and laws of the scientific and economic disciplines (such as symbolic language) to help with problem identification and problem-solving as well as improved decision-making.
- Participate in or lead the creation of benefit/cost analysis models, the design of mathematical model formulations, the construction of simulation models, and the calibration and validation of models, among other things.

- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in Operations Research, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related subject
- Designs and develops integrated solutions to business problems, including but not limited to: demonstrably understands the fundamentals of a business challenge and makes a recommendation for how to resolve the business problem
- A broad awareness of the company’s technology is shown; fundamental technical ideas and terminology are communicated; and standard technology is employed in the workplace on an everyday basis.
