Job Description
By creating and maintaining strong client connections that assure prompt invoice payment, adherence to payment conditions, and quick dispute resolution, the Junior Accountant will gain superior customer account management competencies. The Junior Accountant will also identify clients that may provide collection issues and work to reduce the number and size of past due accounts. In addition, the Junior Accountant will build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal cross-functional business partners (e.g., Sales, Client Service, Operations, and so on) in order to assist in the prompt resolution of customer billing and payment issues.

Qualifications:
- To verify that revenue reporting is consistent with both the contract and technical revenue recognition guidance as it pertains to the company’s activities, analyze the contracts thoroughly.
- Preparation and modification of depreciation schedules and journal entries (e.g. consistent application of accounts and depreciable lives).
- It maintains trust and protects operations by keeping financial information hidden.
- Assist in the resolution of accounting issues as they arise and handle concerns in a problem-solving way.
- Assists with the daily posting of cash, including recording electronic wires and book transfers via daily cash receipts, as well as gathering all required backup (e.g. distribution calculation, supporting emails).
- For this role, knowledge of additional languages is an advantage, but it is not needed (Spanish or French preferred)
- Prepares and maintains several intercompany schedules to ensure proper interest calculations and compliance with partnership agreements and/or management directives. Ensures that the necessary information is gathered and documented (e.g. terms and accounts).
- Assists in the preparation of tax packages for businesses and investment organizations, including debt sections, to be submitted to the Internal Revenue Service.
- This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and municipal financial legal obligations by researching current and future laws, ensuring regulatory adherence, and advising management on critical measures.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of great customer relationships.
Skills:
- It is necessary to have one year of experience in bookkeeping or an equivalent accounting or finance job.
- Ability to manage several tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Punctual, adept at meeting deadlines, and a master of time management
- Has outstanding analytical abilities, is a natural mathematician, and pays close attention to detail. Has accounting software experience, such as Great Plains ERP systems.
- A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting or finance is required for the candidate (equivalent experience considered)
