Job Description
The Key Holder is responsible for opening and closing a retail business while the Store Manager is not present. Management, monitoring, direct customer help, and ensuring that the shop’s appearance is in accordance with standards are all provided by this position. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of cash registers and credit/debit machines in retail establishments. POS transactions, goods handling, stock processing, and stockroom management are all duties. A sales floor merchandiser receives, stores and replenishes merchandise, as well as stockpiling it.

Qualifications:
- Entering all receiving/shipping/transfer documentation accurately into the computer system, reconciling product invoices to goods received/shipped/transferred as appropriate for correct inventory.
- The opening and closing of the shop are both done correctly. Cleanliness, orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room, and outdoor product area are the key duties of this role.
- Tender purchases, process cash or credit payments, count money and provide customer service are just some of the responsibilities that come with this position.
- Accomplish your daily objectives for sales and productivity while aiding others in the same way.
- Assist store managers with sales calls outside of the shop. Ensure that all pages and phone calls are answered immediately, courteously, and effectively.
- Act as a direct supporter of your management team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Maintaining a clean and well-maintained store is essential, as is following loss prevention principles, making sure that receipts are processed quickly, ensuring that the shelves are full, and appropriately pricing merchandise.
- Customers should feel motivated, encouraged, and driven to return to the business for more.
- Responds to client enquiries and complaints in a timely and professional way; addresses customer questions and concerns. Maintains an awareness of the guiding principles and POS system updates.
- In order to improve customer service while reducing security concerns, this employee must keep up-to-date on all payment and exchange rules as well as the company’s security procedures.
Skills:
- You must be able to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with employees, departments, and members of the general public..
- Continuous standing and walking; regularly pushing and pulling; sometimes bending, stooping, crawling, reaching above shoulders/kneeling; climbing a ladder; and carrying up to 40 pounds, i.e., fixture components and cartons of merchandise
- Possess a demonstrated track record of exceeding expectations in customer service and sales in a retail environment.
- Working on different days and places (such as weekends and holiday periods) as needed by the company.
- Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word proficiency, as well as excellent verbal and written communication abilities, are needed.
