Part-Time Lifeguard – Al Mandaq
Job Description
Lifeguards are responsible for the monitoring and safety of pool users and spectators by teaching and encouraging safe leisure practices and attitudes, as well as enforcing safety laws and reacting appropriately to emergencies. Individuals must be able to operate individually as well as a member of a larger staff team. This work demands the ability to interact with the public in a range of scenarios in a polite and respectful manner. Special events, nights, weekends, and split hours may necessitate lifeguards.

Qualifications:
- To carry out the duties of this profession, you must be able to read, write, interpret, and communicate in English, as well as be able to assist with the preservation of a range of accident reports.
- Provides superior customer service by answering courteously to members’ and visitors’ enquiries; giving information pertinent to the assigned region; and addressing complaints in a timely and effective way.
- Follows all pool safety rules and procedures and ensures that these, as well as existing policies, rules, and regulations, are followed.
- Cleans the pool and pool area in preparation for the summer season, including cleaning the pool, cleaning the pool decks, cleaning and placing the pool furniture and lifeguard equipment, cleaning the bathhouse, cleaning the fence and flower bed areas.
- Involved in monitoring and maintaining the pool water chemistry, as well as the pool house and gutters, and the surrounding deck areas.
- Maintain the pool deck, break room, bathrooms, and drains by yourself.
- Surveillance of members and guests utilizing the pool area, as well as enforcement of all Club safety rules and regulations.
- Assist with activities such as accident prevention and offering water safety services as needed.
- Swimming courses, group swim activities, and other aquatic program activities are all a part of the job description.
- When training youngsters to swim or spending time with their families, keep an eye out for any pool-related infractions that might risk their health and safety.
Skills:
- Ability to work with people of all ages, including those with impairments.
- Work experience as a lifeguard for at least three months is required.
- To be considered for this position, you must have a high school graduation or an equivalent.
- The American Red Cross’s Lifeguard Training, Community First Aid, and CPR certification must be current for the professional rescuer.
- It is essential to be able to establish and maintain great working connections with coworkers, departments, and the general public.
