- Assists staff in understanding the technical requirements of each event and how to best utilize the necessary tools.
- Makes purchasing recommendations for video equipment to the Technical Director and Deputy Director of Operations.
- Utilizes knowledge of videography, production, and post-production to organize, direct, and record footage from video shoots.
- Determines in advance the technical supports, such as lighting, sound, backdrops, and specific requirements, required for video productions, including lighting, sound, and backgrounds.
- Helps in developing, implementing, analyzing, and adjusting the video’s aesthetic palette.
- Assists other Technical Services team members with non-video-related tasks as needed.
- collaborates with the Technical Services team to assist with video production and editing.
- works together with the production crew and location workers to organize and record pre-production activities.
- Work on media ingest scheduling and coverage plans in coordination with the Director of Multimedia and the Media Coordinator.
- Purchases, leases and/or borrows equipment as needed, within specified budgetary limits as advised with the Technical Director.
- Capability to work effectively in a dynamic, multi-departmental team setting.
- A bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in digital and multi-media, including videography and video editing, or a similar profession, as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience working in digital and multi-media, are required.
- the ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive material.
- Capable of working effectively with a wide variety of on-screen talent, team members, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ability to mentor and/or collaborate well with partners from various internal and external groups as well as part-time video production team members
