As an Asset Manager, your job is to make sure that the technology-related data centers and public cloud assets in your company are well-managed on a daily and long-term level. The Asset Manager is the person who is in charge of making sure that all of the company’s information technology assets are being properly cared for at all times. This person is in charge of developing and maintaining policies, standards, processes, systems, and measurements that help the organization lead the Asset Portfolio in terms of risk, cost, control, governance, compliance, and business performance goals set by the business. The Asset Manager will work with all of the departments that buy, deploy, manage, and report on IT assets. They will use integrated software solutions.

Qualifications:
- Making and disseminating information to the general public and county staff. Many boards, committees, and organizations dealing with infrastructure asset management might include a representation from the county.
- Consider ways to increase the usefulness of technological assets that are currently underused or just partly utilized in order to obtain maximum efficiency and return on investment from such assets.
- Keep an eye on and analyze data related to corporate hardware from the time it’s requisitioned to the time it’s retired. To that end, devise and put into action strategies and procedures.
- Asset data, such as hardware serial numbers or identifying tags, should be entered into a configuration management database (CMDB) to guarantee that the information is up to date, correct, and easily audited.
- As a representative of the company, you should manage existing tenant relationships to make sure that great service is being given. The best way to negotiate lease terms with high-profile tenants is to work with leasing brokers, lawyers, and lenders.
- Use strategic and practical approach to promoting asset management concepts and best practices across the Public Works Department, including software training to maximize functionality.
- Assist investors in making decisions regarding capital expenditures and payouts by providing them with cash flow forecasts. Monitor your escrow and working capital accounts to ensure that they are adequately financed.
- Strategic business plans for each asset are crucial to ensure that the asset’s day-to-day operations, market positioning in the marketplace, and eventual sale are all guided by the plan.
- Any asset’s life cycle should be simulated in all possible scenarios, including investor returns, from acquisition through disposal. Budgeting, strategic planning, and reforecasting are the responsibility of this position.
- Loan pre-payments, balloon payments, and maturing loans are all analyzed for the purpose of preserving affordability and identifying potential Business Development refinancing options, among other things.
Skills:
- It is important to understand and practice effective teamwork and cross-functional cooperation with your employees, external suppliers, and other departments in your firm.
- One (1) year of supervisory or team leader experience managing infrastructure assets in a government agency, or any similar combination of education and training that gives the applicant the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to accomplish the work.
- Must be able to utilize and learn a wide range of computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Must be able to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as the internet
- It is essential that you be able to communicate effectively with colleagues in English through reading, writing, and speaking in order to carry out your job duties safely and successfully.
- Detailed knowledge in all aspects of contract management and purchasing and procurement.
