In partnership with the medical directors of standalone or multi-faceted clinics, or several satellite clinics of physician practices, the Healthcare Administrator offers strategic direction and operational leadership. The clinic leadership team is developed and managed to ensure that team members have the qualifications to offer quality patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Planning and implementation of programs and activities for residents of the Healthcare Center. Manages subordinate supervisors, as well as extra healthcare workers and volunteers.
  • Employee recruiting and training is made easier with tools that make it easier for managers to do anything from administering performance evaluations to enforcing workplace rules to dealing with employee issues.
  • Ensures that residents are receiving the best possible care at all times by working with other department managers in the community.
  • Respect patients’/residents’ rights to fair and equal treatment, as well as their rights to self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, such as the ability to file wage grievances.
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Every day, there is a noticeable rounding to enhance patient flow and satisfaction for both patients and clinicians. Immediate response to day-to-day workflow stumbling blocks. Create a staffing plan that meets the demands of the customer while remaining within the budget. Employee involvement may help to facilitate effective transition.
  • Respond to patient complaints; assess and decide whether or not the issue should be escalated based on the scenario, possible danger, effective resolution, clinical care concerns, and other factors.
  • Interacts and interacts with physicians/providers on a frequent basis to give guidance and monitoring of efficient scheduling, clinic work flow, and patient flow, while creating and maintaining a cooperative, trusting relationship with providers.
  • Develops and conforms to departmental budgets for personnel, income, and/or expenses. Responds to changes in the company that may have an impact on the capacity to meet budget objectives.
  • Directs subordinates in carrying out work plans and achieving long and short-term goals. Supporting processes and systems, as well as site-level infrastructure, will be modified. The site’s objectives have been met and exceeded.

Skills:

  • All relevant state and federal regulations (including those related to Medicare reimbursement), nursing practices and procedures, and all laws, rules, and guidelines relating to long-term care management are required.
  • Must be a natural leader with the capacity to collaborate and supervise others.
  • Employees, residents/patients, families, visitors, government agencies/staff, and the general public should all be treated with dignity and respect.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in health care administration, business administration, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Healthcare management and/or resident service management positions need at least two years of relevant experience
