Job Description
The selected individual will help with laboratory support operations. Purification trials, analytics, or development studies may be added to the list of responsibilities if they prove successful. The applicant will be taught how to work safely and effectively in a laboratory environment.

Qualifications:
- Has the capacity to operate effectively both with others and on their own. Maintains lab equipment and does other tasks as required.
- Possible additions to the list of tasks include chromatography column packing, cycle studies, stability studies, material production, and some analytical help (HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE).
- To safeguard oneself, co-workers, the environment, and the community by maintaining correct safety attitudes, procedures and housekeeping on all work programs.
- It is important to make sure that products are delivered on time through the lab work queue, that the Lab Scope is well known, and that all key lab documents and procedures are completely understood.
- Core lab functions include buffer preparation, equipment maintenance, lab upkeep, inventory, and collaboration with other technicians.
- High-Complexity testing is only performed under the supervision of a technologist, or with the results reviewed by a supervisor or manager, Recognizes crucial, abnormal, and unsatisfactory test findings and follows-up according to established standards.
- In order to assist with batch changes, root cause investigations, or new product assessments, you may create product mixes and evaluate them. Utilize the most up-to-date analytical testing procedures on the raw materials, in-process materials, and completed product materials.
- Preparing, weighing, and combusting samples, Assist Regulatory Laboratories personnel with set-up, spiking, sample processing, and analysis.
- Results are examined and published with minimal oversight.
- Incorporates established competence and workstation operating criteria to assist in training and orientation of new workers, students, or residents. Monitor and maintain supplies for the tasks that fall within the purview of this role; make efficient use of materials and reagents.
Skills:
- 1-2 years of closely comparable experience, ideally in manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience A four-year college or university bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a closely related discipline is required.
- Understanding of similarities and distinctions between words, numbers and sequences of numbers. Simple printing and speaking.
- Applicants should have a high school diploma or the equivalent, as well as a minimum of twelve semester units of chemistry or bacteriology courses. The opportunity to work in a laboratory for a year
- Hands and arms are necessary for all four senses of communication. Standing, walking, or sitting at a desk is commonplace for office workers. Lifting and moving up to 25 pounds is a common need for the job.
- Being ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in tens and hundredths of a number. Ability to do these procedures in American units of currency, weight, volume, and distance.
