The Medical Office Assistant is in charge of maintaining order and efficiency in the waiting room. Potentially, this role will serve as a supervisor for front desk assistants. In order to be eligible, you need to have worked in a medical office for at least five years.

Qualifications:
- Filing, faxing, photocopying, collating, and project assembly are just some of the clerical tasks you may be called upon to complete.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, which includes troubleshooting, cleaning, stocking, and reordering.
- Provide a warm welcome, check patients out, set up follow-up appointments, and gather necessary data.
- The process of collecting copayments, deductibles, and account balances begins after charges have been posted and all necessary paperwork has been completed.
- Sort incoming calls into high, medium, and low priority categories, then forward or transfer them as appropriate.
- Makes referral appointments as needed or as requested by the provider.
- Filing, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration are just few examples of the administrative or clerical tasks you could be asked to complete.
- Medical dimensions handle all billing and coding exchanges with the clinic for research purposes.
- helps to finish the “”end of day balancing/closing”” process and prepare the deposits for courier pickup.
- The timely delivery of memos, letters, position summaries, flowcharts, graphs, deviation reports, and policies and procedures is facilitated by the use of a word processor.
Skills:
- Being ability to work in a high-pressure environment and respond appropriately is essential.
- requires the capacity to operate independently and the use of critical thinking and judgment.
- It is preferred that applicants have completed one year of medical assistant training after graduating from high school.
- Preferable medical office assistant experience of at least three years.
- Ability to use personal computer, printer, fax machine is required for this job.
