Qualifications:
- As assigned, performs administrative or clerical activities such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- aids in completing “”end of day balancing/closing”” and getting deposits ready for courier pickup.
- Calls are prioritized and transferred as needed based on urgency.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, which includes troubleshooting, cleaning, stocking, and reordering.
- Collecting copayments, deductibles, and account balances follows the posting of charges and the completion of necessary paperwork.
- Type memoranda, letters, position summaries, flow charts, graphs, deviation reports, and policies and procedures to keep directors, managers, and committee members up-to-date and informed.
- Research coding/billing communications submitted to clinic by medical dimensions and responds to all communications in a timely manner.
- Assign administrative duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, collating, and project assembly as needed.
- Appointment setting, patient check-out, and data collection are all part of this role.
- Schedules referral appointments as required or per the provider’s instructions.
Skills:
- Individuals must be resilient enough to handle the stresses of a fast-paced work environment.
- The ability to utilize a computer, printer, and fax machine is essential to this position.
- require individual decision making and the ability to think critically.
- At least three years’ experience working in a medical office setting is required.
- It is preferred that applicants have completed one year of medical assistant training after graduating from high school.
