At our clinic, a Healthcare Administrator plays a vital role as a leader. A Healthcare Administrator is in charge of operations in and around clinics and supervises a particular clinic site. A Healthcare Administrator is responsible for supervising clinical and non-clinical coworkers, supporting operational initiatives, and ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and on schedule on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

- Visible and present daily rounding for facilitation of patient flow as well as patient and provider satisfaction. Available for immediate and timely response to barriers or obstacles to daily workflows. Develop a staffing plan that meets both customer expectations and financial constraints. Create an environment where employee engagement and feedback facilitates positive change.
- Programs and activities for the residents are planned, developed, organized, evaluated, and implemented by this position. Staff and volunteers at the Healthcare Center are overseen by this person.
- Interviewing, employing, and training personnel; teaching, coaching, and guiding work; performance reviews, incentives and recognition, punishing employees, and addressing complaints and resolving conflict are all things that this position facilitates.
- Collaborates with other community department managers to ensure that resident’s get the best possible care at all times.
- Develops and conforms to departmental budgets for personnel, income, and/or expenses. Responds to changes in the company that may have an impact on the capacity to meet budget objectives.
- Leads direct reports in the implementation of work plans and long and short-term objectives. Implements infrastructure at the site level, as well as improvements to supporting procedures and systems. Implements and completes the site’s objectives.
- Interacts with physicians/providers on a regular basis to give direction and oversight in the areas of effective scheduling, efficient clinic work flow, and patient flow, as well as to establish and maintain a cooperative, trusting relationship with them.
- In the case that a patient complaint has to be escalated, evaluate the situation, assess potential hazards, identify a solution that is both safe and effective, and take into consideration clinical care difficulties, among other criteria.
- Hires, trains, allocates work, monitors and assesses performance, and implements professional development plans for individual(s). Ensures that the group’s productivity and activities are in line with and support the department’s general operational objectives, as set by department leadership.
Skills:
- Must have a working understanding of all relevant state and federal regulations (including those governing Medicare reimbursement), nursing practices and procedures, and all applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing long-term care administration.
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and to supervise other personnel.
- Personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public must all be treated with sensitivity.
- Two (2) or more years of relevant experience in health services management and/or resident services management is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in health care, business administration, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university is strongly encouraged.
