Job Description
The Truck Driver position is physically demanding (responsible for loading and unloading at client sites) and needs meticulous attention to detail as well as a strong commitment to safety. Truck drivers must also be willing to speak and work with consumers, as well as respond to their demands and operate delivery vehicles safely in accordance with corporate and DOT guidelines.

Qualifications:
- The ideal applicant will always prioritize safety and wear the necessary PPE.
- The majority of a truck driver’s day is spent driving; the remainder is spent on various tasks such as delivery, handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customer interaction, and vehicle AM and PM inspections.
- Handheld computers are utilized for client transaction paperwork as well as compliance requirements such as Hazmat preparation, vehicle inspection reports, load reports, and trip reports, among other things. A computer-generated Route and Sequence delivery plan is followed by truck drivers.
- Confirm the seal number with a store representative after unloading and account for any shortages, mislabeling, or returns.
- When it is time to leave the warehouse, the driver will have a manifest with his name and a list of stores where deliveries and pickups will be made.
- It is necessary to be able to work outside in all types of weather.
- Performs and submits reports Inspections before and after the journey recognizing and communicating to supervisors any flaws or inadequacies
- By being active, adaptable, and enthusiastic in your contacts with colleagues and customers, you may contribute to a team approach.
- While delivering items to consumers, the Truck Driver maintains a high level of customer service.
- You must be able to lift 75 pounds or more on a regular basis because we will be loading and unloading things by hand and with heavy equipment throughout the day.
Skills:
- DOT rules must be understood, and BC driving credentials must be obtained.
- Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) and ability to operate heavy-duty trucks are required for this position (such as tractor-trailer combinations).
- Passing any background checks and/or drug tests that may be required as part of the work.
- Have finished a truck driver training school course or have at least two years of driving experience.
- You must be able to read, write, and speak English adequately to understand, give, and receive guidance.
