To succeed in the role of Practice Manager, it helps to be adaptable in a variety of settings.   • Manage personnel and the daily progress of clinical, clerical, and billing workers.
  • Maintain a safe workplace in accordance with all local, state, and federal health and safety standards and laws, as well as office and business policy and procedures, and ensure compliance with all applicable state dental legislation.
  • Keep the office at a comfortable temperature and relaxed pace to facilitate top-notch patient treatment and customer service.
  • Take charge of the process of creating and implementing office budgets, as well as the acquisition of routine office supplies and equipment.
  • office activities including payroll, cash management, invoice processing, and more need to be analyzed and set up.
  • The Practice Manager oversees daily operations at the hospital in collaboration with the chief of staff.
  • personnel scheduling, vacation planning, and mandatory training administration.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of software systems to compile, store and retrieve data for managerial reporting.
  • Collaborate with HR in evaluating, probing, and resolving issues related to staffing (such as hiring, firing, retention, and termination).
  • Interact with the hospital in order to aid in issue solving and goal setting in tandem with the Clinical and Practice Management Leadership.


  • The equivalent of two or more years of office management experience will be considered.
  • Must be knowledgeable with the essentials of confidentiality, record keeping, and HR employment law.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as the capacity to confront and resolve concerns with colleagues.
  • Direct supervisory experience preferred along with at least three years of relevant work experience in the health care, veterinary, or service industries (includes hiring, associate development, etc.).
  • The ability to handle all responsibilities within the department is essential, as is the ability to communicate (orally and in writing) with patients, physicians, and colleagues in other units.
