Qualifications:
- Assist with following-up with members of the media to track and ensure client placement.
- Make press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, appeal letters, and more as needed for public relations.
- Contribute to media relations by making pitches, finding relevant information, and arranging interviews as needed.
- A high school diploma, a General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or an equivalent combination of education and experience is usually required for entry-level positions.
- pull information together, write official press releases and newsletters, and distribute them.
- Contribute to the marketing coordinator’s efforts by writing ads for Division businesses.
- Post updates on social media once a week and once a month to help fill out the content calendar.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to develop and maintain relationships with local and national media outlets.
- To spot workable concepts, trends, and growth patterns, analyze analytics along with the rest of the team.
- Help the videographer out as much as possible while they are shooting.
Skills:
- You’ve got lots of expertise working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Acquiring a fundamental knowledge of marketing principles and how to implement those principles across a variety of communication channels
- becoming a pro at using modern types of social media such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter.
