Directly under the Principal of Progress, the Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational elements of every project currently under development. When it comes to leasing, marketing, hiring, launching new initiatives and operational property performance – the Asset Manager is in charge of it all. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong sense of purpose who excels at problem solving while also paying attention to the smallest of details. It is also necessary to have excellent communication abilities, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications:
- Increasing the use of best practices in infrastructure asset management throughout the Public Works Department, as well as providing training on how to effectively use asset management software.
- Assembling and distributing data to county employees and the wider public. This role might serve as the county’s representative on a variety of boards, committees, and organizations concerned with infrastructure asset management.
- Corporate hardware data should be monitored and evaluated throughout its lifecycle, from the time of purchase all the way until it is retired.
- To guarantee that asset data, such as serial numbers or identification tags, in a configuration management database is correct, complete, and auditable at all times, it must be reviewed and maintained (CMDB).
- The whole asset life cycle, from purchase to disposal, as well as investor returns, should be modelled in all potential situations before being put into production. Manage the yearly budgeting, strategic planning, and reforecasting processes.
- Ensure that exceptional service is offered to the company’s present tenant connections by taking the initiative. Leasing agents, solicitors, and bankers who have a strong network may assist in the negotiation of leases for high-profile tenants.
- Use unused technology assets to get the most value out of your money and increase your return on investment.
- Produce cash flow estimates, assess them, and make recommendations to investors about capital calls and distributions Keep track of the funds in your escrow and operational cash accounts to make sure they are appropriately funded.
- You should keep a watch out for Business Development refinancing alternatives including pre-payable, balloon, and maturing loans.
- Develop and execute daily operational, market position and disposal plans for each asset using strategic business concepts.
Skills:
- Direct experience in contract management or purchasing and procurement, including all aspects of strategy formulation and execution.
- Five (5) years of experience managing infrastructure assets in a government agency, with at least one (1) year of supervisory or team lead experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job.
- The ability to operate effectively in a team setting and collaborate with coworkers, suppliers, and other cross-functional groups.
- Be able to communicate in English at a level that allows the employee to grasp and convey information in a way that allows the employee to safely and effectively execute the tasks of their position.
- Knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations is required. Able to use MS Office and the internet (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
