Job Description

Radiologist conducts basic to complicated diagnostic radiography treatments with little supervision. Applying x-ray radiation to diagnose or treat patients of all ages using expert judgment.

Qualifications:

  • Complies with federal and state regulations in the preparation and distribution of contrast media and/or pharmaceuticals. The narrator observes the patient and notices any unusual behavior. Inspects processes and makes suggestions for changes where necessary.
  • Assists doctors during interventional procedures and offers diagnostic assistance by doing organ or body scans on patients. Accurately places and positions patients, and picks anatomical and technical factors.

Skills:

  • Being well-versed in every facet of diagnostic imaging requires that Radiology expertise is greatly encouraged, but not required. Vitals-taking experience
  • Medical or Osteopathic degree from an accredited medical or osteopathy institution, current residency in radiology
  • Registration as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Radiologic Technician (RT(R), or Cardiovascular Technician (CVT)) is required (RCIS)
  • Officially licensed. American Board of Radiology fellow, Must be MPA member (or equivalent).
  • State-required license/fluoroscopy permit, State and federal regs, BCLS (AHA), One year of acute radiology preferable. JRCERT or ABHES graduate
