Job Description
The intern for social media helps to improve awareness both within and externally. The organization’s marketing, communication, and public relations objectives will be developed and implemented with the assistance of the social media intern.

Qualifications:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to develop and maintain relationships with local and national media outlets.
- gathering information, writing, and distributing official newsletters and press releases.
- proficient in relevant social media platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and other new ones.
- Collaborate closely with the cameraperson to gather footage and stills.
- Make weekly and monthly social media postings to contribute to the content calendar.
- Write news releases, media alerts, fact sheets, appeal letters, and other public relations materials as needed.
- High school graduation, General Educational Development (GED), or equivalent experience and education levels are required.
- Help out with media relations by making pitches, doing background research, and setting up interviews.
- Help keep tabs on client placement by following up with media contacts.
- Helping the marketing coordinator with copywriting for ads targeting subsidiaries.
Skills:
- An understanding of fundamental marketing ideas and their application across a range of channels.
- An equal mix of education and experience is acceptable in place of a high school certificate or GED.
- Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are all programs that you have a strong understanding of and experience with.
- proficient in relevant social media platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and other new ones.
- Someone who can tell stories through words, photos, and moving images; this person is multidimensional and creative.
