Part-Time Staff Accountant – Sumaira’a
Job Description
The Junior Accountant’s job include assisting senior accounting staff in a variety of general accounting tasks, such as developing and revising debt/interest and preferred return schedules in compliance with partnership and loan agreements. Cash receipts, journal entries, accounts payable vouchers and/or wires, and bank reconciliations are all tasks that the Junior Accountant will be responsible for. This is a supporting job that plays a critical part in the Corporate Accounting team’s daily administration and operations.

Qualifications:
- Has excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Examine contracts to ensure that revenue reporting follows both contract and technical revenue recognition guidelines.
- Cash receipts, electronic wires, and book transfers are all recorded through daily cash receipts, as well as any necessary back-up documentation, by this employee (e.g. distribution calculation, supporting emails).
- Assists in the development of tax packages for companies and investment entities for submission to the tax department, including debt sections.
- In order to ensure the accuracy of interest calculations and the adherence to partnership agreements and management directions, intercompany schedules are created and updated regularly. Ensures that the correct data is located and recorded (e.g. terms and accounts).
- Assist with accounting issues as they arise, and approach them with a solution-oriented perspective.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of great customer relationships.
- Creates and updates depreciation schedules and journal entries according to business regulations (e.g. consistent application of accounts and depreciable lives).
- By maintaining the secrecy of financial information, it helps to build confidence and protect operations.
- Compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal duties is ensured by studying existing and future legislation, guaranteeing adherence to rules, and advising management on necessary steps.
Skills:
- Excellent MS Office capabilities, particularly intermediate MS Excel skills, SharePoint, and Teams understanding.
- One year of experience in bookkeeping or a comparable accounting or financial position is required.
- A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting or finance is required for the candidate (equivalent experience considered)
- Ability to perform well under stress, handle several conflicting goals, and fulfil deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Has strong analytical abilities, is a natural mathematician, and has a keen eye for detail. Has worked with Great Plains ERP systems or other accounting software.
