An competent forensic accountant should have a strong understanding of legal, tax, and accounting concerns, as well as the ability to write reports.

Qualifications:
- When necessary, makes contact with the insured or the claims adjuster.
- A thorough awareness of the legal and regulatory issues that a company may face.
- Two administrative tasks that must be controlled are time management and bill preparation.
- If you have a CPA or CFE license, this is an excellent alternative.
- Accounting, finance, or economics bachelor’s degree is necessary.
- Flexibility and a willingness to travel when needed are both important qualities.
- You have at least three years of experience as a forensic accountant, a certified public accountant, or in a related field.
- It is strongly suggested that you obtain a master’s degree in accounting.
- Exceptional knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) (GAAP).
- Review claim evaluations and reports before sending claims to the carrier to ensure appropriate calculations have been completed.
Skills:
- Working through issues, troubleshooting issues, and making well-informed judgments are all essential skills.
- It is necessary to have analytic and inquisitive skills.
- PC-savvy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
