Job Description
In order to create entertaining and informative videos about the economy and financial markets for YouTube, we need to hire a Video Producer. Videos will include a wide variety of formats, from in-depth interviews and explanations to reports from the field. If you want to make videos that are engaging from concept to delivery, you need to be skilled at idea generation, scripting, video editing, and creating visuals. You need to be comfortable directing and recording topics from afar, as well as dealing with and nurturing on-air talent. The Video Producer is in charge of making entertaining and educational videos on the markets and the economy. The ideal candidate will have worked professionally making videos in a native YouTube style, will have shown great producing and editing skills, will have demonstrated experience making graphics, will have managed studio and field shoots, and will have developed talent.

Qualifications:
- Upload films to YouTube, Vimeo, and other social media platforms. Monitor viewing patterns and statistics to improve effectiveness and reach.
- Produce a final output that satisfies our exacting requirements for both audio and video quality.
- Help us plan out how to best promote our brand on social media and post videos and other content to our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages on a regular basis.
- Conceive of an idea, plan it out, schedule it, record it, and edit it so that it’s complete inside the time limit.
- As needed, operate a variety of video equipment, including cameras, microphones, teleprompters, and other devices.
- It may occasionally be necessary for applicants with photographic experience to employ that skill for projects.
- Assume the role of director during production, supervising all aspects of filming including camera, lighting, talent, and sound.
- Always be aware of the current market state and software/hardware trends in the video industry.
- Make sure the film promotes the university’s image and aligns with our brand’s mission.
- Ensure copyright law is followed with both audio and visual content. Work with third parties to acquire licenses as necessary.
Skills:
- Premiere for expert-level editing; After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator for cutting-edge visuals.
- familiarity with the Sony FS7, A7S, and remote filming through Skype, Zoom, etc., as well as experience with a wide range of camera settings.
- We now use Adobe Premier and Final Cut Pro for video editing, and anybody with professional knowledge and prior experience with audio and lighting gear should also be able to use these tools.
- Experience managing media, recording and importing media, organizing raw media, editing video and audio files, and archiving project media is a plus.
- have a background in video production comparable to a bachelor’s degree, and show evidence of your ability to create a wide range of high-quality works.
